I’m not naturally a good cook.
I’m not naturally an artist.
I’m not naturally crafty.
But I can follow a recipe, plan or pattern.
The same goes for running.
I didn’t get into running naturally. Like so many others, I thought I would never be a runner.
I’ve followed training plans and recipes for success and I’ve made tweaks along the way. It took years and a lot of support to see myself for the athlete I’ve become.
I listen. I’m always learning. I’ve read dozens of books. Listened to hundreds of hours of podcasts and I know I’m not done.
I want to help more people and make a difference in new ways each day. I will continue to consume information, listen to your needs and repeat the things that I know you need to hear again and again.
That’s how you make progress. That’s how you grow. That’s how we persevere even when it feels tough and we think it’s going to break us.
It’s not always from natural talent. It’s from staying committed to learning and growing. Being willing to admin what you don’t already know. Staying curious and open and showing up each day.
What do you want to do tomorrow? How can we help you learn more today?
Taking the first step towards any change can often be the hardest step. You don’t have to take it alone. Ask for help. Accept help. And remember that it doesn’t have to come naturally. You will get there.
If you’re new here, thank you! I hope my words give you courage and help you find your bravery. If you’d like to learn a little more about me, please look around. Here’s a great place to start The Runner I’m Becoming
